If you have not had a chance to read it yet, I seriously recommend it. Jamie Ramsey of course is the inside man for all Reds fans to follow along with such greats like John Fay and Mark Sheldon. No real Reds fan can go on cheering without following these guys for the inside scoop on the team. @Jamieblog, @johnfayman and @m_sheldon.
Cincinnati Reds Great American Ball Park Scoreboard Operator Rich Linville will be on MLB Network’s Baseball IQ trying to win money for the Reds Community Fund. I had the chance to listen to Rich talk to Mo Egger on Cincinnati’s ESPN 1530 today and I just have to take my hat off to the man, because there is no way I would ever be able to answer any of the questions he mentioned without a computer handy. (Then again, I have the worst memory known to man.) Rich Linville is of course the man who comes up with the Scoreboard Stumpers at Great American Ball Park which Mo Egger went on to say he has lost tons of money with beer bets on trying to get the right answer. I am glad I am not a part of that bet, because I know for a fact Mo Egger would be winning more than losing against me. Although I might be willing to bet on who will win in Baseball IQ against Mo Egger if I get to pick Rich. I first read about this story at Jamie Ramsey’s Blog ‘Better Off Red’ – “BASEBALL IQ” Here is a great story about this at Cincinnati.com – “Reds’ scoreboard guy’s in limelight.” [Source - @Jamieblog]
I would like to wish Rich Linville good luck and I know that a lot of Reds fans will be cheering him.
I would also like to thank Jamie Ramsey for the shout out today on Twitter.
I got my Better Off Red t-shirt today and I just have to show it off. As a Reds fan I have found Jamie Ramsey to be the man to follow when I want to know what is happening with the team and staff. Mark Sheldon and John Fay are two others I follow and I respect them just as much as I do Jamie Ramsey when it comes to the Reds. So when Jamie Ramsey sent me an email asking for my address so he could send me a shirt I was blown away. I am still shocked to tell you the truth. It is a huge honor to have this and the best part of all is that he signed it for me! Now, before any rumors start, NO! this shirt and autograph are not for sale, nor will they ever be.
Thank you Jamie Ramsey. — Keep up the great work that you do.
Jamie Ramsey and Mark Sheldon have posted on their blogs about the Cincinnati Reds 2012 Caravan and I thought I would put the links on here for future reference. If you are planning on going or have gone before please feel free to share your experience with us in the comments.
